The annual SusChem Stakeholder event is back and will take place on 21 February 2023, at Le Plaza Hotel, in Brussels.
This is a free and face-to-face event, with the goal to bring together representatives from the chemical industry, academia, research technology organisations (RTOs), Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and EU institutions to discuss and boost the debate around crucial topics for the chemical sector, such as the Transition Pathway for the Chemical Industry, the implementation of the Safe and Sustainable-by-Design framework, feedstock needs to achieve climate neutrality and a European Strategic Agenda on Advanced Materials, among others.
This year’s theme is Advanced Materials & Safe and Sustainable-by-Design Framework: Lighthouse matters for the future of European Research and Innovation, citing the two main areas in which SusChem currently is prominently contributing to, especially linked to its collaboration on the IRISS project “International ecosystem for accelerating the transition to Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design materials, products and processes”, and on the Advanced Materials 2030 Initiative.
During the event, the National Technology Platform (NTP) network will update the SusChem community on their current activities within the IRISS project, and have the opportunity to exchange on other recent initiatives.
